THE RHYTHM WITHIN

I am a member of Theatre and Tourism Community Development Service, Abia State (NYSC) and some days ago, I learnt something very important.  I am part of those playing the traditional instruments needed for the dancers to dance. Every player had a different rhythm but the same tempo. You must play like never before. While some beat their instruments in three quick successions, mine was just a periodic thud (I was playing the traditional pot) I couldn't afford to go higher than my pace neither could I afford to go lower, I had to maintain my pace, the energy level had to be consistent and every sound produced from all the instruments must form a harmonious whole. The scenario above, inspired me to write this article and this is exactly where I am going to:

We have a big challenge and that is the fact that we try to be like every other person asides that which God has created us to be! Some of us want to be lawyers not because we have the capacity to become one but because our uncle is a lawyer and he is making money from it but we fail to remember that he is only playing his rhythm why don't you play yours?

1. GOD HAS A RHYTHM FOR YOUR LIFE:
The fact that your neighbour is seriously hitting life in three quick successions does not mean that you must do the same. God has a rhythm for your life and He has already orchestrated the perfect timing for every thing to happen in your life. Like the instrument I was playing,  sometimes our lives is just a periodic thud, no stress, no pain, all gain! The fact that your neighbour got a high-paying job doesn't mean you are a failure, rather it means that you have to increase your energy level, be the best at what you do and the best would come to you. Life is just a function of timing, don't lose your rhythm! God has a rhythm for your life, go at His own pace,the blessings of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrows (Proverbs 10:22) going ahead of God would only give you temporary riches and satisfaction and of course long lasting troubles!
