UNFORGETABLE LESSON FROM THE KITCHEN

I was in the kitchen today and I was filling the bottles with water from the tap. I opened two different but similar bottles and filled them with water, mistakenly, I switched the plastic caps. The first one covered well, but the second bottle covered with resistance and difficulty. I turned the second plastic bottle sideways and surely it was leaking because the cap wasn't right for it. Immediately, I switched caps, putting the right cap where it belongs and voila! Both bottles were airtight and firm. At that moment, a thought crossed my mind....This is how relationships ought to be! AIRTIGHT AND FIRM.

Unfortunately, most relationships you see around are leaking. Two parties from different backgrounds come together to start a relationship, intuition tells them the relationship isn't right, they see that  the relationship is clearly not working but they still try to force it because they are scared of loneliness, scared of starting over, scared of being subjects of ridicule in the society and scared of what people will say.

Relationships take a large part of our hearts and by extention, our existence as humans because of the level of emotions that it draws from us, so why do you try to force a relationship when you can clearly see that it causes you pain? Let it go, letting it go gives you the right opportunity for the right persons that will fit you perfectly to catch you with you.

Give newness of life a chance. Review your friends, review your relationships. As you start 2016, take stock of your life. Who are those that make you leak emotionally with their harsh, demeaning and negative words? Who are those that make you leak financially through their parasitic involvement in your life? Who are those that daily make you cry as though they are onions? Who are those that make you leak spiritually by encouraging you to do the wrong things?

Take a stand for yourself today and let go of those similar but different caps that doesn't fit you hence making you leak. Get rid of them and embrace people who criticise you constructively, who love you, who see the best in you, who are happy with who you are and with who you are becoming.
