PLEASE I WANT TO CHARGE MY PHONE!

But really, Nigerians can charge phones! Chai! Anywhere you turn, you see people looking for where to charge their phones. Some even come with laptops and power banks so that they can charge their smart phones. In most cases, the phones are still averagely full but the fear of having a flat battery propels them into charging their phones at every point in time.
Many more phones have been forgotten or stolen  at the charging point. A minute away from the phone largely means that your phone will have to pay a compulsory visit to the hands of people who can't do without taking what does not belong to them.

Must you always charge your phone?  The truth is, an average number of youths will say yes, they have to charge their phone. I remember on the early hours of our departure day in camp, I made the costly mistake of charging my phone, I don't think I need to explain what happened afterwards because your guess is as good as mine.

So what things can we do to ensure that our phone are safe and of course, charging? Below are few things you can do to ensure that  your phone is safe and charging:

1. Get a power bank: Most likely your power bank will always be with you so you wouldn't have to bother yourself with how to drop your phone or with whom to drop your phone.
2. Put off your mobile data: When your mobile data is on, it sucks up your battery. Any moment you are not online, especially when going to bed,put off your battery so that your phone would last a little longer.
3. Close all applications that you are not using: Minimized running applications consume a lot of battery life. You just need to press the menu bar down, you will see all the applications running and you close down the ones you are no more using.
4. Reduce brightness:  Most smart phones have a brightness level that can be modified at will. When you know you will not be looking at the screen for a long time, reduce the brightness to the barest minimum.
5. Stay close: If you eventually have to charge your phone in a public place, stay close to the place. Don't leave the place for any reason because not everyone is as good as you are. Apart from the possibility of the phone been stolen, there is the possibility of the phone not charging.
6. Put someone you trust in charge: What do you do if you really have to charge your phone and you need to leave the arena? Simple, put someone you trust there. And I really mean someone you TRUST! Don't just put a stranger there and expect the person to act right, put someone you can hold accountable. That way, you will be able to prevent stories that touch the heart.

I hope you now know the best steps to take? I wish you luck on your phone journey. Ooh, I forgot to add, a number of people are beginning to have  constant electricity in their area. In case you are part of those who still don't have constant power supply just begin to pray and eeerrmmm fast or forever buy fuel! (na joke oooo)
