SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE

Source: www.slumdogmillionairemovie.co.uk
As I watched Slumdog Millionaire, a 2008 Indian film directed by Danny Boyle, I realised that the film could actually relate to our personal lives. Dev Patel as Jamal Malik in the film was born in the slums of India. His parents died at an early age thus becoming an orphan. Life was really hard for him and his brother but they didn't give up, he did so many odd things just to stay alive and at the end he became a millionaire and conquered love.

Everyday we go through struggles, difficulties and painful experiences that break us till we cry uncontrollably in the corner of our rooms. We are ashamed of our past and frustrated of our present but we forget that what defines us is not our past, but our willingness to make the best out of all situations. Many of us have gone through harrowing experiences that has left us breathless. These are things we can't even share because of the pain it produces in us.
But let's flip the coin to the other side.

God has been working behind the scene all through the years and His aim is to beautify your life through your experiences.  In reality, all things actually work together for your good. Your bad experience 10 years ago can be the key to a greater level. The things you learnt as a waiter might be what will set you apart in your current position. My mother always says that no knowledge is a waste and i will also add that no experience is a waste. It's a common saying that God makes a message out of our mess and God draws out a testimony out of our test. Don't be scared of your past, instead, embrace it, learn from it and be ready to be a testimony.

Just in case you are going through a bad time, don't beat yourself, don't be perplexed about the future because lines will fall for you in pleasant places.
A while ago I came across a scriptural verse in the Message translation bible, it says in 2 Samuel 22:21, "GOD made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him". Yeah, that is exactly what we are supposed to do; Lay our pieces before Him and believe that He will make our lives complete. And I rather believe this, take actions knowing that things will eventually work out than worry myself to death.

P:S - My sincere apologies for not posting all these while, my phone was baptized in water and right now, it is still not feeling fine. Thank you for reading. I celebrate you!
